The full version of the kit does not come with a receiver or batteries.

We recommend a micro receiver like the FS2A and a 300-380mAh 3S lipo with an XT30 connector. We found that we could run 4 minutes with the weapon at 50% on 300mAh 3S.
The Kit’s base weight before electronics is right around 400g. There should be about 20 grams left over after battery and electronics for modification.

Scalar 3D printed frame:

By default, the chassis will be printed in a random color (usually black). If you want a custom color please add a note to the order and send a message via email. I will provide the current color options for the printed parts. Please note that this will delay shipping of the order for a few days.

I got this kit to add to my collection of ant weights, and thoroughly enjoyed the two events I’ve competed at so far with it. The weapon hub is by far the best weapon hub I’ve seen on any kit bot. Strong and well designed.
The robot itself easy to assemble, very quick to turn around in between matches, and drivable.

The Scalar kit is definitely one of the easiest and quickest robot builds I’ve ever done. I was up and running within about an hour of assembly and wiring. Approximately 24 hours after I assembled the robot, it was sitting pretty at the 3rd place ranking at the event.
Definitely a great intro to competitive antweights. Hits hard, keeps on trucking. You won’t be disappointed.

This kit has been really exciting to compete with. Our team has driven only a Viper for two years, and almost entirely just as a wedge. With this kit and instructions, even a simple team like ours was able to follow along and have the bot ready for a competition just a few days later. The TPU frame is compact and sturdy, keeping the electronics protected and snug. The carbon fiber looks amazing and make it easy to work with the robot between fights.
It has been really fun to go into each fight feeling like you can win, coming from a Viper 😉 We finished third in our last tournament, where the robot was able to deliver a lot of damage throughout each fight and sustain opponent’s hits while staying aggressive the entire time. We love having this kit and really look forward to competing with it for a long time to come.
