Have you wanted to build a tangent drive robot? Normal drone motors make structure challenging because the shafts come out the side opposite the mount. Now with repeat tangent drive motors, the shaft comes out the side where the mounting is, making tangent drive easier than ever before! Pair with repeat drive axles to take all the complexity out of your super speed drivetrain! Use our Repeat AM32 dual brushless drive esc to get rid of the jitters and make your robot drive smoother than ever before!

Make sure to test out the chosen interference amount with your specific chassis and wheel designs. Too little interference and the shaft slips on the wheels before they slip on the ground. Too much and you’ll just be loading your motors too much causing them to burn out eventually

Worked great on my ant, super fast and had a good amount of torque. Also they’re pretty durable.

  2. Ian Talbert (verified owner)

The best price to performance ratio out there, the tangent 1406 is capable of pushing around brushed dartbox vipers. Absolutely insane power density, definitely take a look if you are wanting a speedy, powerful robot on a budget.

My tip: Try ~0.7mm overlap between the 5mm knurled shaft and your cast wheel to start (1406)
Try 1.2mm overlap between the 7mm knurled shaft and your cast wheel for the 2207.
