Shafts are a wear item. Having the option to get spares allows you to keep your bot running without buying new gearboxes every time you take damage.
These check all the boxes for things you want in a replacement shaft:
– single piece: no pulling the shaft out of the output carrier
– hardened: reduced chance of bending and jamming up your drive side
– available to order: not all shops selling gearboxes actually allow you to order spare parts.
