Much like how the Repeat Drive 16mm options are the best antweight drive on the market, these are the best beetle drive. Since swapping to these I haven’t even tightened screws in 21 fights. Don’t forget to loctite the gearbox screws when you receive them.

  2. David Le

Repeat Maxes are objectively the best combat robotics drive setup for beetleweights, a competitive option for hobbyweights, and even a workable option for featherweights. The gearbox is built like a tank as long as you loctite it, and the 4140 hardened shaft is way overkill for beetleweights. I run 4 of them in my 15lb combat robot, and the acceleration it produces with 13lbs of magnet downforce is ridiculous. In every aspect, these are the perfect drive motor, and I don’t see anything beating it anytime soon.

Have used these across 10 fights and aside from having to put loctite on the screws before installing in the bot have had zero issues even after my bot was thrown across the air multiple times and the wheels they were attached to taking direct hits. If you have the weight and space there is nothing better.

Truly reliable gearbox motor combo, I’ve been running them on 6S with no problems!

  5. Kevin Biagini (verified owner)

The last drive motors you will ever need! They are the perfect combination of speed, power and durability. I’ve ran the same 4 motors for 5 events and the only motor damage was my fault. Which leads to the next best thing. Replacement parts!

  6. Ariel Smith

Repeat Max is the gold standard for beetle weight drive motors. I won’t use anything else. It has made the drive in my bot more reliable overall. I have never had to toss a repeat max – it is always fixable. Don’t forget to loctite the gearbox screws!

  7. Jeremy // Level 5 Robotics

After running Repeat Drive Max for over 40 fights on my beetleweight, I can’t see myself running any other drive solution and I can’t believe there was a time that I wasn’t running them. All the power you’ll ever need and then some in a reliable package.

Truly, the only motor you’ll ever need.

These gear boxes are extremely powerful and durable. In a recent event a set of Repeat Max gear boxes took things to the extreme. The robot had enough speed and power to climb walls and made Will Bales exclaim WHY IS IT SO FAST!?! when he drove it. All while having excellent pushing power. These gearboxes have also taken hits that would have crippled any other beetle weight drive but the repeat max keeps turning
