Repeat Drive Brushed (1pcs)

(12 customer reviews)

$19.00

These motors have been replaced with repeat drive brushed mk2: https://repeat-robotics.com/buy/brushed/

Have you stripped the gearboxes on your drive motors leaving your bot stranded in the arena? Scared of the cost and complexity of brushless drive?
I have the solution you’ve been waiting for.

While developing my 16mm brushless planetary gearmotors, I wondered why there weren’t any good planetary brushed motor options out there. I took the upgrades that I was doing with the gearboxes on the brushless motors and coupled them with a completely custom 030 sized brushed motor. Our motors can draw up to 2A at stall, and are seriously powerful for their size. This is almost a drop-in replacement for fingertech silver sparks, with comparable weight and size, but no gearbox stripping issues.

  1. Sam, Team Hell Cats

Nearly a drop-in replacement for the Fingertech Silver Sparks, these motors are considerably “zippier”, and have been a great upgrade for my ‘bots.

  2. Bob Belansen

These were the one missing link I needed to make my bot reliable. I broke 5 silver sparks in a day once. With the repeat brushed motors, and the rest of my bot remaining the same, through six fights I’ve had one shaft snap but the rest of the gearbox still worked.

  3. Ryan Lowen

Simply the best 16mm brushed motor option. Period. Once you get tired of stripping out silver sparks, give these a go. You won’t regret it.

  4. Keith Tam (verified owner)

Everyone seems to be running RR brushed these days. My bots need reliable drive to go deep in tournaments. These motors can take a ton of punishment and keeps going. Since this the new standard, I better put these in all my Ants.

  5. Ben

These are the most durable ant weight brushed motors on the market.

  6. Ariel Smith

Our team uses these for our beetle weight minibot. They are absolutely great and super zippy when ran on 3s.

  7. Andrew Stowell (verified owner)

The best brushed motor for ant weights! I actually switched one of my bots to these from brushless, because it was too fast to control. These are perfect with a 3s lipo and around 2″ wheels.

  8. Jonathan Krizo (verified owner)

I use these in all my antweights, and they work great! The only ones that I have broken before were either from stupid mistakes on my part, or after making it through multiple matches against hard hitting robots. They’re fast, have decent pushing power, and are affordable.

  9. Team Bot And Paid For

These motors are a more compact, more reliable, and more powerful version of Silver Sparks. We initially ran Silver Sparks on our antweight, but after far too many of them broke as a result of relatively weak impacts, we switched over to Repeat Drive. We have had almost zero issues since (the only one being a slightly bent shaft after a direct hit from a massive vertical spinner), and our robot is now much more maneuverable and excels in pushing matches.

  10. Remy (y_0 Robotics) (verified owner)

    These are almost perfect!
The planetary gearboxes are a huge step up from weaker spur gearboxes.
The shaft configuration is more robust than other similar 16mm planetary gearboxes.
The motor is the only thing that leaves a bit to be desired. You need to support the rear to ensure it doesn’t pop out when hit hard, and they could use more power (although maybe I’m just spoiled by the brushless Repeat Minis…)

  11. Luke Larzelere (verified owner)

These motors are fantastic for the first antweight competition my son and I did. They allowed him to have enough drive power for him to get 3rd. They did not fail even after being hit multiple times.

  12. Nicholas Kasny

Great motors. Turned my horrible bot into an amazing bot.
