Description

In electrical power systems that use brushless motors, ESCs, and LiPo batteries, high current and voltage peaks are common. To prevent these peaks from damaging connected components, capacitors are typically used, which is an effective method. Capacitors help smooth out voltage fluctuations by storing energy when the voltage rises and releasing it when the voltage drops. However, capacitors may be too slow to handle very short but intense voltage spikes, which can occur in the range of nanoseconds to microseconds and can exceed the normal battery voltage by two to three times. While most components can withstand multiple such spikes even if they exceed their rated voltage, excessively strong or prolonged spikes can damage voltage regulators, capacitors, and FETs. The Spike Absorber is designed to absorb these high-energy spikes before they reach sensitive components.

Instructions:

Wire in parallel with the power wires as close to your weapon esc as you can. Do not wire inline or you risk blowing the copper traces on the diode board.
